I built ReadTheCurb after one too many staring contests with a parking sign that had more fine print than a mortgage agreement. Three overlapping signs, two arrows pointing in suspiciously vague directions, and a permit zone that apparently only applies on the second Tuesday of months ending in "y." I lost. The sign won. I got a ticket. Then I got mad, in a very productive way.
Full disclosure: I'm not a professional app developer. By day I wrangle IT systems and questionable Wi-Fi, not React components. ReadTheCurb is the first product I've ever built from scratch, start to finish, entirely on my own, mostly out of spite for one particular pole on a street I will not name.
Using it doesn't require a law degree. Snap a photo of the sign and let AI squint at it so you don't have to — it reads the sign and tells you, in plain English, whether you're safe or about to become someone's tow-truck quota for the day.
